What is my role type?

In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work. We’ve introduced role types to help you understand how you will operate in our blended work environment. This role is:

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

This is an exciting 3rd Shift opportunity on our Security Team.

JOB SUMMARY

Perform medical, security, firefighting, hazardous material and other protective services duties to ensure a safe working environment for employees.

Protective Services Specialist I’s may be expected to perform the following duties:

Enforces all prescribed company policies and procedures.

Maintains site security at all times.

Firm knowledge of the facility and surrounding property.

Intimate knowledge of the hazards encountered within the facility.

Understanding of the areas of responsibility of each key facility personnel.

Consistent operation within the Total Production Maintenance system.

Ability to conduct day-to-day operations with little to no assistance.

Basic understanding of Communications Center operations.

Understanding of how to respond to an emergency.

Respond to emergencies and assess the need for additional resources.

Aware of the hazards present on site when dealing with “routine” emergencies.

Basic knowledge of what is entailed in maintaining site security.

Familiarization with the facility and its surrounding property.

Basic understanding and use of the ACE program.

Write reports describing all violations, irregularities or complaints noted.

Acquire and maintain internal Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) licensure.

Must be able to perform duties aligned with acquiring EMR certificate

May have the opportunity to train for, obtain and maintain certifications to enhance individual skills and broaden the department’s service to its customers.

May perform a variety of other protective services-related duties, as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High School or General Equivalency Diploma

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English

Must be a US Citizen due to federal contracts

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years of related experience, or a completed degree/certificate from a post-secondary or vocational school in a related field with 0-1+ years related experience

State of Maine Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Certification or higher or ability to obtain within 180 days of hire in order to perform job duties as stated above.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent Customer Service Skills

Firefighter level I certification or higher

Experience handling hazardous materials

Technical rescue experience

1-2 Years Communications/Dispatch Experience

1-2 years of security related experience

Maine Criminal Justice Full Time Police Academy, Reserve Academy, or Basic Corrections Academy

Proficient in regulations of the National Industrial Security Program Manual and Export Control

Experience with Microsoft Office, including Access, Excel, Power Point and Word
