As a Workday Program Executive, you will be the senior Alight team member on multiple client deployment programs working as the highest escalation point for any of the Workday modules in scope for the deployment. The Program Executive will participate throughout the sales cycle to provide project guidance to the potential customer based on actual experiences to showcase the value of the Alight project team. The Program Executive will own the customer satisfaction and success measured by reference ability, grow the business through support of sales pursuits and add on sales, provide fiscal accountability, partner with the Project Manager to provide delivery leadership and guidance to project teams, understand the high-level architecture of the deployment, and promote a favorable market presence. Often the Program Executive will provide guidance and input to Associate Program Executives, and will often be aligned to a specific industry vertical (e.g., Healthcare or Government).


The Program Executive represents an increasingly important link between business and technology and therefore must have the ability to engage at an executive level. Often bridging the gap between functional and technical teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship: Establish and maintain senior client relationships and communicate feedback to leadership as appropriate, during and after the deployment
  • Participate in Sales Process. Responsible for the participation in sales and solution processes for the preparation and presence in onsite sales opportunities
  • Project Leadership: Partner closely with the Project Manger to lead the Workday implementations. This should include providing guidance and best practices to both Project Managers and Associate Program Executives
  • Project Goals: Understand the client’s business drivers, outcomes, and political landscape at the client
  • Project Architecture: Become the client sponsor’s trusted advisor for transformation
  • Communicates: Provide information to others both internal and external to the organization; represent the organization to customers and other external sources
  • Close Contractual Obligations: Formalize final acceptance at the c-suite for the project by ensuring that the delivered product(s) and services comply with the agreed deliverables lists, scope, and any organizational procedures
  • Measure Customer Satisfaction: Measure customer satisfaction at the end of the project by capturing customer feedback using appropriate techniques to gain, maintain, and improve customer long-term relationships
  • Celebrates Accomplishments: Celebrate, either formally or informally, the accomplishment of goals
  • Engages Others: Engage others in the attainment of the vision for the future. Influence others by enthusiastically sharing the future vision as a means for them to attain their goals


Knowledge and Expertise of:

  • Workday certified strongly preferred
  • 7 to 10 years of HR, Payroll, or Finance experience required including problem solving and process improvements in current Internet-based technology environment
  • Experience leading a project implementation of Workday, PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP or similar applications
  • Experience leading and participating in technical and cross-functional projects
  • Previous functional/technical HCM, Payroll and Financials deployment experience either as an internal consultant or with a consulting/software organization
  • Strong communication skills with all levels of the organization - both internal and external
  • Strong interpersonal skills to support team building
  • Ability to advocate a creative atmosphere, facilitate entrepreneurial meetings, and envision a final product and overall market acceptance early in the design and/or development process
  • Ability to develop cooperative relationships to achieve results through a win-win relationship
  • Ability to establish alliances with other departments and organizations by recognizing dependencies
  • Awareness of cultural diversity and can embrace and capitalize those differences; applies knowledge in decision-making process
  • Ability to identify project risks by defining risk strategies and developing the risk management plan
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment to the goals and objectives of the team. Seeks help from other team members as appropriate
  • Embraces entrepreneurial spirit in work through recognizing and capitalizing on opportunities to improve the organization
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Successful completion of select Workday Certification(s) or currently Workday Certified is a requirement of the role


Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in technical, business or financial discipline or relevant field of study.

Pay Transparency Statement: Alight takes into consideration a candidate’s experience, education, certification/credentials, market data, internal equity, and geography when determining an offer for a successful employment candidate, and Alight does so on an individualized, non-discriminatory basis. Therefore, an offer may fall anywhere between the estimated minimum base salary for this role of $128,100.00/year (for full time employees) and the estimated maximum base salary for this role of $175,000.00/year (for full time employees). In addition to a base salary, this position may be eligible for a bonus and/or other incentive plans.
