Job Summary: This position is responsible for standardized patient program and development of other clinical skills assessment for the Upstate University Clinical Skills Center. The standardized patient program is used in the teaching and assessment of students' clinical skills. The scope of responsibilities is wide, and includes responsibility for hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating standardized patients and staff, working with clinical course and clerkship directors to develop and choose clinical cases for teaching and assessment, and the coordination of a variety of teaching and assessment exercise using standardized patients. The position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to set priorities and manage several projects at once, strong communication skills and the ability to work with many faculty, students and standardized patients. This position requires understanding and use of data and analysis in the assessment of learners and in program evaluation to make improvements, and collaboration with experts in these areas. It also requires sound judgement in handling sensitive and confidential situations with tact and courtesy. Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Education, Performing Arts, Health, Nursing, Human Services, or similar, and three years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Education, Performing Arts, Health, Nursing, Human Services, or similar. Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE).

Work Days:

Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm; however schedule may vary. Some nights and weekends may be required.
