Overview:
The DS Product solutions specialist responsibility is to significantly influence and increase Dentsply Sirona’s commercial activities across the entire assigned portfolio and to ensure the sales and revenue targets are met in line with Dentsply Sirona’s objectives.

The DS Product solutions specialist provides leadership, direction, and accountability throughout the entire commercial organization and supports the commercial organization through frequent collaboration with Sales leaders, marketing, training & professional affairs to increase sales, delivering innovative programs, sales tools and training programs.


The DS Product solutions specialist will also participate in developing customer-focused initiatives aimed at increasing customer loyalty and market share. It is expected that the individual will possess an in-depth knowledge of the product portfolio, will act as the national product expert and will be expected to identify collaboration opportunities between the other Dentsply Sirona SBU teams to leverage the power of One Dentsply Sirona driving the One Customer initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Focus on coaching and execution efforts for the Region specialists and spend majority of your time in the field observing and coaching effective selling techniques, Product selling, workflows
  • Assist with DSO, KOL, high level conversations in the field as needed
  • Define, own and implement strong executional focus on specialty:
o Execute 3-step selling process against specific messaging
o Define and follow up on specific targeting, R&F call plans
o Maintain high-quality SF data entry
o Evaluate lead generation and closure of leads
o Focus on quota by tracking/ranking
  • Identifying best practices and communicate and train all other Region specialists.
  • Proactively inspects sales activity and effort among Region specialists, ensuring that the quality and quantity of sales effort meets company expectations.
  • Identifies deficiencies in skills among Region specialists and collaborate with Sales leaders, Training & Education to develop local training execution plan.
  • Positively impacts the performance of individual sales team members by implementing and managing field support tools, reinforcing training programs, productivity initiatives, account and territory planning methodologies, and customer communication tools.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer requirements and satisfaction by engaging key customer accounts in conjunction with sales leaders.
  • Provides a management-level point of contact for key customers, KOL’s and builds and maintains strong customer relationships.
  • As the product specialist support Marketing with developing and shaping the strategic plans for the business
  • Communicate and implement the strategic plans throughout the commercial organization in collaboration with Area Directors and Region Business Managers.
  • Co-develop local and regional marketing plans and ensure execution.
  • Establishes productive relationship with marketing based on frequent communication, collaboration, to ensure market-level strategic and business objectives are met by the sales team and the effective allocation of marketing investment in the marketplace managed.
  • Interface between commercial organization and Marketing, Training & Education and Sales Operations (e.g. new products, customer initiatives, trainings, marcom)
  • Collaboration with Marketing to develop sales tools to support the Commercial organization (Product solutions, practice solutions, cross-selling and upselling initiatives, social media, marketing initiatives)
  • As Sales advocate for designated specialty participate in marketing meetings (e.g. DPG, Launch readiness reviews, quarterly alignment meetings, etc.) and provide market trends/insights to Marketing, Training and DPG for products/pipeline development based on customer feedback and competitive insights

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

Certifications/Licensing:
  • Valid driver’s license is required

Years and Type of Experience:
• 4-5 years of experience in a sales or sales management role, preferably within the designated specialty. Experience preferably within the dental industry.
  • Demonstrated successful leadership experience preferably within the industry.
  • Demonstrated skills to assess business opportunities that maximize sales potential and meet customer needs. 4-5 years’ experience preferably within the dental industry.
  • Must have the ability to travel 50%-75% of the time

The base salary and variable compensation for this role in the state of California is between $130k and $150k. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
