Position Description

Lindsay Corporation is hiring a new Process Engineering Technician to support the 2nd shift production team. This position is responsible for the process improvement, programming and maintenance of automated electronic production equipment utilized throughout the facility. This person must have the ability to analyze and improve the manufacturing and assembly methods, create maintenance procedures, maintenance records and scheduling. This position requires the ability to work with customers, vendors and production to promote quality manufacturing in a timely and productive manner.

Position Details

This is a full-time position located at our manufacturing facility located in Olathe, KS. This is a 2nd shift position. Hours are Monday thru Thursday 3:15pm to 12:45am. Friday 2:15pm to 10:45pm. Every-other-Friday off. Occasional extension of typical hours may be necessary, dependent upon business needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain and trouble shoot electrical and mechanical problems with automated production equipment.
  • Become an integral part of improving production processes.
  • Continuous improvement of manufacturing and assembly methods.
  • Assist in the creation of assembly aids, work instructions and maintenance procedures.
  • Service equipment and tools required for production.
  • Provide facilities maintenance and support when needed.
  • Work with Quality, electronic production and rest of process team to resolve problems.
  • Continuous research related to industry process developments, assist in determination of effectiveness and, direct involvement in company implementation of accepted process improvements.
  • Ultimately to become an integral part in determining manufacturing’s future course regarding its processes, equipment selection and efficiency considerations.

Qualifications

  • Associates of applied science of electronics or 5 years equivalent experience.
  • Experience with electronic components and the basics of electronic and mechanical design
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in problem solving, and resource management.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills.
  • Good driving record.
  • Must be fluent in the English language

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to operate various hand tools
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
