Responsibilities
The personal injury legal assistant is responsible for the day to day management of the case files. The responsibilities are as follows:
Identify treatment needs and send clients for treatment- Keep the case managers up to date with treatment so that the client does not over treat based upon the impact
- Call each client at least once every two weeks
- Identify problem clients and bring to the attention of the case manager or attorney at the earliest possible moment
- Withdraw from cases with unresponsive or uncooperative clients
- Provide interpretation/translation services for the attorney
- Prepare file to be sent to the demand write when the file is complete
- Accountable for the text line with each individual case
- Identify health insurance issues and address as early in the case as possible
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1+ year of Personal Injury experience (preferred).- Must be Bilingual. (English/Spanish)
- College degree (bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience)
- Must be organized and capable of hand
Desired Outcomes:
A successful personal injury assistant will be able to manage 100 case with the help of the case manager. The employee will make all 2-week calls, properly manage the treatment plan and have the file ready for the demand writer as soon as treatment is complete.
