Saint Bernard Abbey Infirmary is seeking compassionate and professional healthcare providers to give daily care to monk-patients.

Responsibilities:

• Cultivate and maintain therapeutic relationships with monk-patients in order to improve quality of life through interaction and activity engagement including reading, games, prayer, outdoor time, and visiting Infirmary Chapel.
• Ensure that the monk-patient's room and living spaces are clean, safe, and organized.
• Provide laundering of monk-patient clothing and linens.
• Implement the nursing staff's orders accurately and safely.
• Serve and assist patients in ADLs, including but not limited to bathing, toileting, feeding.
• Ability to physically assist monk-patients with reduced or impaired mobility.
• Complete accurate and thorough documentation in chart.
• Medication administration.
• Fall prevention and safety.
• Ability to work within the collaborative care team in order to maintain continuity and quality of care.
• Caregiver experience required.
• PCA/PCT/CNA experience preferred.
• The Infirmary Caregiver is hired by the Infirmary Director and reports directly to the Infirmary Supervisor.

Job Types: Part-time, PRN

Pay: $14.00 per hour
