POSTION SUMMARY

The parts/inventory manager ensures parts are ordered and delivered on time to prevent disruption from the production line. This position will be accountable for handling all requisitions and purchasing parts from approved Suppliers while maintaining good working relationships both internally and externally. The candidate for this role will need to work closely with the Production team and Plant management.

Key Responsibilities:

· Ensuring that the plant receives their parts, as expected, in a timely manner

· Works within the warehouse functions of the warehouse management system such as pulling kits, viewing items, and keeping the production floor stocked with necessary parts needed to perform their duties.

· Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations and guidelines

· General inventory-keeping, maintenance and organization of the warehouse

· Performs related duties as required

· Working with deadlines

Physical Requirements:

· May be required to stand for long periods of time

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds

· May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting pushing and pulling of parts and part containers

· Able to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment a plus

· Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold

· Must be able to wear proper safety equipment

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:

· Ability to add and subtract numbers on a frequent basis for verifying inventory counts

· Successful experience in a fast-paced work environment, ability to multi-task

· Must be able to work well independently and as part of a team

· Must possess effective interpersonal skills

· Must possess strong verbal, written communication and reading skills to read documents, complete paper documentation, prioritize work, and ask questions

· Must be able to maintain the production pace of other team members

· Experienced with hand and pneumatic tools

· Knowledge of Excel Spreadsheets and data inputting a plus
