Temco Logistics – Where we have PRIDE in everything we do! We are THE Fastest-growing appliance delivery and installation company in the country and are seeking motivated individuals to expand our Pomona Team.

We are seeking to hire a Part-time Yard Hostler to join our Pomona team. As a Yard Hostler, you will be responsible for operating machinery and vehicles across the yard and determining the proper placement of equipment and containers.

SCHEDULE: MON-FRI/ 7AM-11:30AM.

Pay: $ 19.00-$22.00

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for moving trailers and containers within facility/yard area.
• Operate the heavy machinery to move the cargo and equipment.
• Determine the suitable placement for cargo and equipment.
• Monitor and direct the vehicle and container movements.
• Help with the transportation of various materials and equipment to the weighing platforms.
• Check/Report vehicle conditions and schedule maintenance checks as needed.
• Coordinate with other crew members with the loading and unloading the cargo and operating the machinery.
• Clean and sanitize containers before and after every use.
• Store equipment and tools in appropriate storage places
• Adhere to safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain accurate data of all trailer and container movements within the rail yard.

Requirements:

• Valid Calss-C driver's license.
• Ability to perform rudimentary vehicle maintenance.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• A safety-conscious and thorough disposition.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work at long and flexible hours if NEEDED.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
