About the Position
We are in need of an attorney to help shoulder some of our litigation files and even sit in on a real estate closing or attend a land use hearing or other meeting now and again. You will be responsible for your cases from start to finish. A typical day will find you reviewing client documents and preparing a memo, drafting a Complaint, drafting or responding to discovery requests, attending a case management conference, following up on a settlement offer, etc.

We need someone who can devote at least 15 hours per week with an interest in expanding to more full-time work over time. Remote work is available for a more experienced attorney, but a newly licensed attorney who needs training will need to come into the office.

We are open to law students in their last year who are looking for a place to kick start their career and stay on for at least 1 year after you get your NJ license. You will be required to provide your transcript and at least 1 letter of recommendation from one of your professors.

**We do not have a minimum billing requirement.**

Compensation:
Hourly, Dependent on Experience
Bonus for work you originate

JD, Actively licensed in NJ
Technology savvy (FYI we use Mac computers at the office)
Rockstar at legal research and writing

This position is ideal for:

• a newly admitted attorney who is looking to hit the ground running and take on tasks no big firm would hand an entry level associate.
• an attorney who has taken a break from practicing law to stay home with children or relatives in need of additional care.
• a seasoned attorney who is looking to take a step back from the 80+ hour weeks and not have to worry about billable hour requirements.

Misc.: We are a family friendly office. The principal attorney has 3 kids that will often come by the office, and the senior paralegal has 2 kids who also make appearances. You are welcome to have your child(ren) come with you if needed on a day off from school, etc.
