JOB TITLE: Outpatient Therapist

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time, 40 hours/wk

SCHEDULED HOURS: In office sessions on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays; several days of the week are in schools during the school hours or remote working; No on call requirements

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: CHILD OUTPATIENT PROGRAM

Psychiatric and diagnostic evaluation and treatment is provided to children, adolescents and families. Individual, family treatment, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, MATCH, ARC, and TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) are available.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides assessment and treatment interventions consistent with fidelity to evidence based model if applicable.
  • Documents ongoing client progress and outcomes
  • Demonstrates competency in age related or specialty issues and developmental needs for each population served.
  • Works with clients to develop appropriate discharge plans utilizing natural supports.
  • Maintains collaborative relationships with family members and other service providers
  • Provides crisis assessment and intervention to monitor status of clients in crisis.
  • Responsible for Maintaining Client and Staff Records According to Agency Policy
  • Participates in weekly supervision and meetings to review client and program progress.
  • Develops and provides therapeutic group therapy, individual, and family therapy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Master’s Degree in mental health field

Experience: Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and experience as a psychotherapist working with people with mental illness and/or serious emotional disorders. Demonstrated training and experience in all aspects of mental health treatment, assessment, evaluation and provision of individual, group and family therapy. Relevant experience to program model to which individual is assigned.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: LCSW or other license to practice psychotherapy in State of CT preferred. All MSW staff must possess an LMSW or LCSW. Recent graduates may be hired with a valid Temporary Permit to practice as an MSW (valid for 120 calendar days after the date the master’s degree was awarded).

COMPENSATION*:

$44,477/annually min.- $62,273/annually max., dependent upon experience.

*Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and are based off of relevant experience, as well as adherence to our internal equity policy. Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or sign-on incentives. (Please note, for part-time positions this range would be pro-rated based on hours worked)
