Ophthalmic Scribe / Technician

$3,000 Conditional Hiring Bonus

Cornea Consultants is looking for a full time experienced Ophthalmic
Scribe / Technician. Our technicians perform comprehensive work ups and testing to prepare our patients to see the doctors. Our Scribes work directly with our doctors and patients learning and expanding their knowledge of Ophthalmology. Cornea Consultants is looking for energetic individuals to join our team of a busy, growing Ophthalmology practice with surgical expertise in Cornea, Cataract, Lasik, FDA approved Cross-Linking Keratoconus treatments. Our office presently is in two locations with plans to add more in the future. You will be joining an exciting group of individuals!

Ophthalmic Technician / Scribe Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

Ophthalmic Technician Duties Preferred:

  • Prepare examination and treatment rooms.
  • Obtain thorough patient histories, perform vision screening examinations, check motility, pupil exams, manual refractometry and IOP's. Perform ophthalmic diagnostic testing Visual Fields, OCT, Topography and Lensometry.
  • Administer drops.
  • Assist with minor procedures.
  • Cleans and maintain ophthalmic equipment.
  • Maintain and stock supplies as needed.

Ophthalmic Scribe/ Technician Requirements:

  • Two or more years experience as Ophthalmic Scribe/ Tech or Graduate from an accredited Ophthalmic Technician Program.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Computer skills required.
  • EHR experience

Ophthalmic Scribe / Technician Physical Requirements

  • Able to commute to an urban location
  • Able to sit and move around an office repeatedly
  • Able to lift and carry items up to 40 lbs
  • Able to work behind a desk

All patients are required to wear masks and are checked for temp. at the door. Patients are socially distanced in all waiting areas. Staff still practices Social Distanciing, wear masks, gloves, and clean all patient areas after each visit.
