We are experiencing record sales and are preparing to moving into our brand-new facility in Haverhill, MA.Haverhill offers beautiful sights and is located half-way between the City of Boston and the beautiful New England Seacoast.

The Operations Manager will play a crucial role for the PC Haverhill organization to meet business performance goals and continuously improve operational agility and profitability by ensuring that manufacturing facilities are operating smoothly and efficiently under a single management of all production related functions. These functions include supply/factory planning, primary and sub-assembly work cells, logistics, and warehouse control. This individual will also play a critical role in the delivery of the Divisional strategy for Operational agility, adaptability & meeting OTD to customer expectations.

  • Oversee the process of transforming variable resources into finished goods with agility and flexibility, while performing at the highest efficiency and the lowest cost.
  • Strategically align the Operations' targets in terms of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People with those of the overall Product Company.
  • Ensure that all the resources (equipment, labor, and raw material) involved in production are always available in proper conditions.
  • Lead innovative projects, smart working initiatives, automation, digitalization, etc., driving continuous improvement in PC operations.
  • Develop a customer focused team culture with a primary emphasis upon improved flexible operations (indirect, as well as direct). Achieve on time delivery of customers completed products with all required documentation & process controls.
  • Lead the Operations team with particular emphasis on (a) the correct composition and headcount within the team, (b) the motivation and morale of employees, (c) personal development and, where appropriate, career aspirations of each member of the team.
  • Actively seek and analyze business trend and demand forecast in Semi market to ensure manufacturing capacity is up-to-date. Focus on manpower planning and managing manufacturing volume changes.
  • Manage the Cell budget with agreed budgetary contraints. Sponsor development of processes and tools to maximize productive capabilities to achieve customer satisfaction while attaining operating cost target.
  • Coordinate capacity planning, provision of appropriate tools, equipment and resources.
  • Collaborate with commercial, technical, innovation, engineering, and materials teams to embrace continual improvement.
  • Responsible for Logistics KPI's definition and monitoring, lead and develop the supply chain for the PC including transport management, warehouse & inventory control & management including flow of product to the workcells mixed with distribution of products to customer centers and other Edwards locations, supporting the mission to deliver a superior customer service experience.
  • Ensure Edwards procedure for transportation equipment, including dangerous goods, is safe and in compliance with the RCE26 requirements and all relevant legislation.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING...

  • Bachelors degree in an engineering, business administration, or managment discipline (MBA is a plus).
  • 10+ years' of work experience within a manufacturing operation with 5+ years of managing and motivating teams.
  • Experience in leading quality and other improvement projects.
  • Demonstrated skill and achievement in implementing Lean practices in a manufacting environment.
  • Demonstrated skill and achievement in successfully delivering quality products on-time.
  • Solid experience with computerized ERP, MES, and MRP programs.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple groups to drive goals.
  • Good communication skills with analytical ability and timely decision making.

JOB SCOPE...

  • Responsible for 4 direct reports while managing a manufacturing, planning & logistics organization of over 150 people, including contractors.
  • Support production activity in output that translates into annual revenue ~$250M_ with CAGR of 5%+
  • Manage equipment and facility maintenance requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
