The Operations and Maintenance Technician - Control Room Operator position is responsible for safe day-to-day operations, repair and maintenance of the plant and wellfield equipment and auxiliaries of the Cyrq organization.

Plant Operations

• Monitor and direct power plant and wellfield day-to-day operations from both the control room and in the field.
• Assist in the start-up and balancing of the plant and geothermal wellfield.
• Complete or oversee completion of repair, maintenance, and observation activities on their scheduled rotation, such as daily, weekly, etc.
• Perform basic service functions and basic predictive and preventive maintenance for all equipment at the facility.
• Complete pre-job safety briefings, Safe Work Permits or Job Safety Analysis.
• Identify and resolve plant operation challenges in a proactive and timely manner.
• Read and identify all components in the plant’s Piping & Instrumentation Drawings and, if necessary, mark-up drawings to reflect as-built conditions or modified systems to submit for updates.

Team Lead

• Provide direction and support to the Auxiliary Operator(s) in the plant and wellfield.
• Direct all support technicians in the starting or stopping of the plant and wellfield.
• Coordinate work with third party contractors on-site, as requested by O&M Manager or Plant Manager.

Organization Support

• Provide suggested site-specific solutions to safety and environmental issues in the plant and wellfield.
• Maintain a positive and supportive approach when short-term plant needs change priorities.
• Write professional daily, weekly, and/or monthly plant operating reports.

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1 or more years of operations experience in power plant, mining, manufacturing, or related field.
• Must have a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts schedules to support 24/7 operations including overtime, when needed, to meet plant and outage demands.
• Current OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Proficient or higher computer skills including Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Demonstrated ability to apply sound decision making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time.
• Ability to stand, twist, stoop/bend, squat, kneel, crawl, reach, push, pull, and climb stairs or ladders regularly during each shift.
• Ability walk moderate distances several times during each shift.
• Ability to tolerate remote environments, indoor /outdoor, possible dust, dirt and wind, including hot and cold weather.
• Ability to lift from the ground and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to don all forms of Personal Protective Equipment and work at heights of up to 50’.
