Nutrition Services Aide
St. Lawrence County Office for the Aging Nutrition Program is in search of qualified applicants for the
title of Nutrition Services Aide. The starting wage for this position is $13.41/hour.
Duties of the position: An employee in this class performs a variety of routine duties in preparing and
serving food at a meal site for the elderly operated by the Office for the Aging. The work also includes
responsibility for cleaning and otherwise maintaining food service areas, equipment, and utensils, and
involves the operation of a motor vehicle in the delivery of meals to homes. Work is initially performed
under close supervision, but, as employees learn food service routines, work is performed with some
independence. On-site supervision is received from a Nutrition Services Assistant who reviews work
through observation. The incumbent does related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications: No minimum qualifications, but possession of a valid New York State Motor
Vehicle Driver’s License is required.
