Georgia-Pacific is now hiring for a Mobile Equipment Mechanic/Millwright at our lumber mill in Diboll, Texas to be responsible for preventive maintenance and repairs on all plant mobile equipment including forklifts, front end loaders, motor vehicles, sweepers, and small engine vehicles. What You Will Do In Your Role

• Perform preventive maintenance on all mobile equipment
• Perform diagnosis and repair of hydraulic systems to include control valves, pumps and cylinders.
• Perform diagnosis and repair of fuel systems to include diesel and gasoline.
• Perform diagnosis and repair of electrical systems to include 12-volt and 24-volt.
• Perform diagnosis and repair of brake systems, steering system components, drive train assemblies and other components external to the engine and transmission.
• Utilize computer diagnostics equipment.
• Enter work order and parts requirements into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Follow any other job-related instructions and perform any other job-related duties requested by supervisor.

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

• At least one (1) year of mechanic experience on diesel and gas engines
• Must have standard and metric hand tools
• Willing and able to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
• Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment

What Will Put You Ahead

• Certifications in diesel mechanics, hydraulics, and/or electrical systems
• Prior experience in a wood products facility
• Prior experience in repairing rolling stock/heavy equipment
