Job Description

  • Shifts Available: 9am to 6pm, 10am-6pm, 12pm-8pm, 3pm-11pm (Monday to Friday) and 11pm-7am (Sunday to Thursday)
  • Job Scope: The primary goal of this position is to provide mobile mental health services including evaluation, crisis intervention, referral, and/or treatment to Hotline referrals and clients of Bright Futures Ahead
  • Performance is reviewed through employee supervision, evaluations, and client records
  • Provide a full range of crisis stabilization services and support to clients with a variety of behavior health symptoms
  • Conduct health assessments for individuals in crisis in Baltimore City
  • Perform psychiatric evaluation with referred clients
  • In collaboration with a Registered Nurse, provide appropriate crisis intervention, supportive counseling and de-escalation of clients as needed
  • Develop initial treatment plans for clients within one day of admission
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation of all clinical and client-related information
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office
  • Other duties as required
  • Transporting of clients and their belongings in agency vehicle may require minimal support and assistance depending on client needs
  • Will visit clients in various community settings (homes, hospitals, businesses, and streets)

Qualifications

  • Candidates must be a Maryland Licensed Counselor (LCPC, LGPC, LCSW or LMSW)
  • Educational/ Position Requirements: Master’s degree in psychology, social work or a related field, from an accredited college or university
  • Candidates must have applicable Maryland State License (LMSW, LGPC, LCSW-C or LCPC)
  • Applicant must have a valid MD Driver’s License
  • Required Experience: Minimum of two years of post-graduate experience working with individuals in the public behavioral health system is preferable
  • Physical Demands/Work Conditions/Hazards: Moderate walking, standing, climbing stairs, and sitting required
