Medical Doctor, 1099 Contract, Riverside, CA, 92506. Part-Time or Full-Time.

Excellence Recruiting is seeking a talented Medical Doctor to join a healthcare clinic specializing in workers comp injuries. (New Grads and experienced Medical Doctors are welcome!) You will be partnering with a dedicated team of medical providers in the fast-paced environment of their Riverside, CA practice. The provider may be asked to see patients at multiple locations to support patient caseload fluctuations. The schedule will be given and agreed upon a month in advance.

Medical Doctor Overview:

• Train and supervise medical staff to ensure that all patients are properly documented, tested, and promptly and systematically diagnosed to optimize resources and minimize the lag time for patients and staff.
• Oversee the appropriate utilization of employee health services and resources insofar as they relate to Workers' Comp.
• Evaluate, identify, and recommend measures for preventive care and screening of employer groups to reduce the risk of work-related injuries.
• Provide counseling for employees on health-related or immunization concerns.
• Assist with investigations to identify the root cause of incidents and near misses, and recommend appropriate action to prevent future injuries and improve worker performance at the workplace.
• Provide guidance on the treatment and follow-up care of patients.
• Oversee and manage the required physical evaluation programs to meet regulatory requirements; such as OSHA and CDC.

Medical Doctor Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat work-related injuries and illnesses
• Provide high-quality medical care to patients while adhering to occupational medicine practices and workers comp regulations
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and blood tests
• Provide medical assessments for fitness for duty and return-to-work
• Manage medical emergencies and refer patients to specialists as necessary
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records and reports
• Participate in quality assurance and peer review activities
• Collaborate with other medical providers and staff to ensure optimal patient care

Medical Doctor Qualifications:

• Must possess a current active license in California,
• Must possess a Medical Doctor diploma from an accredited medical board,
• Must possess DOT Certification; and/or assure that they are certified within 30 days of hire.
  
• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be able to accurately provide verbal/written feedback.
• Must exercise exceptional managerial and organizational skills with the ability to delegate tasks as necessary and to support staff and assistants.
• Must possess a disciplined work ethic and have exceptional task prioritization.
• Must be dedicated and able to work with a team of health professionals.
• Knowledge of occupational medical practices is required
• Knowledge of workers comp regulations is preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment

Medical Doctor Type of Contract and Compensation:

• This is a part-time position for up to 3 days a week on a 1099 contract.
• The compensation range for this position is up to $110 per hour based on experience.
• If Part-Time, the Medical Doctor needs to have their own malpractice insurance and workers comp, and will have no benefits.
• However, if the candidate is available full-time, our client is open to discussion regarding covering the cost of malpractice insurance.
