We are a surgery practice located in Beverly Hills, CA and are seeking an experienced Medical Collector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of physician medical collection experience, knowledge of all insurances (HMO, PPO, etc.), and be familiar with Worker's Comp and multi-Specialty ASC accounts.

What we offer for our Medical Collector position:

• Job Title: Medical Collector
• Location: Beverly Hills, CA
• Job Type: Temporary, 3-6 Month Contract
• Pay: $24/hour (Depending on Experience)
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30AM - 5:00PM

Responsibilities for our Medical Collector:

• Follow up on outstanding patient balances and insurance claims to ensure timely payment and maximum reimbursement for services provided
• Work with insurance companies and other payers to resolve payment denials, appeals, and issues related to medical billing
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing and payment records in electronic health records (EHRs) or other billing software
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, responding to inquiries and resolving issues related to medical billing and insurance
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorization for procedures and surgeries
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, to ensure effective communication and high-quality patient care
• Provide regular reports and analysis of collection activities to management, including aging reports and collection rates

Qualifications for our Medical Collector position:

• 2+ years of physician medical collection experience
• Familiar with Worker's Comp and multi-Specialty ASC accounts
• Knowledge of all insurances (HMO, PPO, etc.)
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
