Position Summary

The Manager of Donor Engagement develops, implements, manages, and assesses a comprehensive donor-relations program as part of Asante Foundation's mission to raise significant funds to support the Asante health system. The scope of work includes the Asante Foundation Benefactor Program, Grateful Patient Program, and other activities to increase philanthropic support, engage donors, and steward their charitable investments in the health of our community.

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing, implementing, and managing a successful and integrated donor relations program that strategically engages all levels of giving as defined by Asante Foundation's leadership team.
  • Fostering a culture of philanthropy among staff, clinical partners, and constituents as part of the Asante Foundation Leadership team.
  • Managing the Asante Foundation Benefactor Program, including supervising the Benefactor Liaison staff.
  • Developing strong internal relationships across the health system to increase the effectiveness of donor engagement activities.
  • Developing, implementing, and leading a Grateful Patient program to help individuals express their gratitude through philanthropy, using direct mail and other solicitation methods.
  • Tracking and analyzing donor engagement activities in Raisers Edge to enhance relationships and increase the likelihood of continued contributions.
  • Creating innovative programs and projects to thank donors, engage them in Asante activities and steward their gifts by demonstrating the impact of donations.
  • Partnering with the Asante Foundation Events Team on special events and experiences for benefactors and donors.
  • Providing supervision and guidance to Benefactor Liaisons or other Foundation staff to include developing/updating rounding and other donor/benefactor assist processes.
  • Providing training and development opportunities for staff and completing annual performance evaluations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in experience and education required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fundraising or constituent relations with a non-profit required.
  • Experience stewarding and cultivating donor relationships required.
  • Previous experience working in a health care environment and/or cultivating donor relationships with high net worth individuals is preferred.
