Hopewell Health Centers is a nationally accredited federally qualified health and community mental health center with 22 sites across TEN counties in Southeast Ohio (Athens, Franklin, Gallia, Hocking, Jackson, Meigs, Perry, Ross, Vinton, and Washington). We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Worker to join our Gallia County, OH team.
As a Maintenance Worker you will be responsible for responding to HHC facilities maintenance/repair/construction and moving requests through a work order system, Reporting any maintenance/custodial problems observed to supervisor meet with the supervisor on a regular basis several times a week to stay up-to-date with requests, and prioritize work orders. As assigned, you will perform maintenance duties including but not limited to: Basic carpentry and electrical work; Basic plumbing work; Basic maintenance of heating/cooling systems; and basic patching and painting and some flooring installation as requested by supervisor. Assist with vehicle maintenance as requested by supervisor under transportation contract. Assist with moving items to and from HHC facilities and/or storage as needed. Periodically cleans rented storage facilities. Abide by agency code of conduct and policy and procedures (e.g., business practices, clinical, personnel, and plan manuals) at all times on agency property or while conducting agency business. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor(s), clinic director, and/or agency administration.
We are looking for candidates who are dependable, responsible and flexible and demonstrates efficient and effective work habits.
This position does require you to work around children on a daily basis.
What do we look for in our Maintenance Workers???
- Eligible to work in the United Stated
- HS diploma or Equivalent
- At least 3 years’ experience in custodial maintenance and/or carpentry work
- Experience with boiler and chiller equipment STRONGLY preferred
