Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a maintenance technician that is responsible for preserving the good condition and functionality of premises, and performing maintenance tasks of great variety such as painting, forklift maintenance, HVAC p.m.’s, and all other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Survey buildings and repair systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, outlets, etc.)
• Assist in the p.m. of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
• Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
• Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide
• Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
• Assist in budget preparation
• Work with outside vendors on projects they are involved in the facility.
• Contact outside vendors when repairs are needed on equipment.
• Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair
• Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
• Maintaining the building HVAC equipment to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly
• Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries

Job Skill Requirements

• At least 2-3 experience as maintenance technician
• Basic understanding of electrical, computer wiring, hydraulic and other systems
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
• Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in building maintenance technology or relevant field
