Walker Methodist Health Center offers skilled care, transitional care, rehabilitation, and memory care for 290 residents and is located in Minneapolis.

If you want to help provide our residents with a safe, comfortable home, this is the job for you! We are recruiting for a maintenance engineer to complete maintenance work orders and respond to building emergencies. Join an amazing team!

Schedule: Full-time with an every 6th week on-call rotation.

Major responsibilities:

• Responsible for performing tasks identified in the preventive maintenance program including

• Complete routine boiler maintenance
• Complete Chiller and HVAC maintenance
• Schedule equipment servicing
• Perform energy management system monitoring
• Maintain up-to-date logs

• Know emergency plan and help to ensure that maintenance staff act appropriately during emergencies
• Serve on a rotational basis as an on-call engineer for Walker Methodist Health Center and for assigned projects
• Follow policies and procedures for quality of life, person-centered care, and trauma-informed care according to role specific responsibilities
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Education:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Valid Minnesota Drivers’ License
• Special Engineer required, Second Class C preferred
• Refrigeration Certification preferred
• Additional education in mechanical electrical, electronic, or related field preferred

Required Experience: Three years prior experience in building maintenance systems in a comparable physical facility
