Long Term Substitute - Special Education Team Chair - Middle School
This is a long term substitute assignment starting immediately for an undeterminded period of time during the 2022-2023 SY.
- The Team Chair is directly responsible to the school Principal and the Administrator of Special Education.
- Responsible for managing referral process and facilitating Evaluation Team meetings at the secondary level.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with federal and state special education regulations regarding timelines, eligibility and meeting procedures.
- Successful candidate will be committed to creating a positive school-home relationship and to involve parents as partners in the team process.
- This position requires attention to detail, organization and excellent written language and communication skills.
Must be licensed with DESE as a Special Education Teacher 5-8- Must have previous experience chairing special education team meetings and facilitating the eligibility process
- Must hold bachelor’s degree or higher
