Accountable for department performance by ensuring operational readiness. Mentoring and managing staff to promote quality, safety and excellence in care. Accountable for accurate and timely processing of payroll. Accountable for completing staff evaluations within 15 days of due date. Accountable for procurement and maintenance of equipment, supplies and instruments for direct patient care and support areas. Accountable for effective cost control, ordering, delivery, distribution, inventory and evaluation of systems for equipment, supplies and instruments. Accountable for maintaining department assigned vehicles in a state of readiness for patient care and/or transport according to department needs. In collaboration with Lifeline Leadership, plans and implements programs and activities necessary to ensure high-quality, cost-effective operations. Promotes and identifies quality improvement initiatives that are aligned with departmental and organizational safety and operational objectives. Maintains clinical presence on unit by working direct clinical shifts regularly. Other duties as assigned by manager.
