As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase, this role will give you a platform to create leading edge private and hybrid cloud native solutions in a program with firm wide impact. You will be working on massive, highly reliable and low latency real time solutions with extreme scale, modern cloud and web technologies. You will get to design, develop and test exciting new web applications and cloud-native microservices, thus transforming the user experience for the Interaction Servicing Fabric (Omni Channel Contact Center Solutions), aligning with the firm's application modernization strategy and delivering billions of interactions across the Firm.

Job responsibilities
  • Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
  • As a lead developer of the Praesto project within JPMC shared technology division, the application developer lead will take the point on creating secure React/Angular based Microservices/Micro-frontends as part of an Event driven, extensible Architecture in a DevOps ecosystem.
  • The objective will be to create a rich set of services with agility to promote enhanced and differentiated digital and traditional features at the user experience presentation layers for various personas. The services will expose real time and near real time application-driven capabilities, including innovative features. (Kafka, as well as NoSQL based databases)
  • The Lead developer will be required to do design analysis, and find ways to create a rich API ecosystem for the Praesto Fabric for use by Applications and various Personas including design, development, integration and testing of massive scale, mission critical modern front end web applications and cloud native microservices
  • The candidate will be responsible for leading and sharing best practices for DDD and development of web services, kafka eventing , and web components in a DevOps environment. The candidate will help develop and lead new technology choices and engineering , collaborating with product management, user experience, customer security and engineering organizations and servicing application teams for functional and non-functional requirements and deploying cloud native applications to test, UAT and environments.
  • The candidate will need to work with other microservices developer, automation engineers and manual QA testers, and testers from cross functional groups such as Integration Solutions Testing and User Acceptance Testing.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • BS/BA Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 13+ years Experience with development, deployment, and support of large-scale distributed applications in a mission-critical production environment.
  • Expert knowledge of developing web applications with Angular8/6 or React, HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, Material UI, Responsive web applications with Bootstrap
  • Expert knowledge of Restful Web Services, WebSockets/JSON and security with OAUTH2, LDAP, ADFS, HTTPS/WSS
  • Proven experience in development, and implementation of software solutions, leadership in products and modules
  • Good understanding of Digital, Cloud and Omni channel Customer Experience /Contact center concepts is highly desirable
  • Agile Development experience with SCRUM or similar methodologies, Ability to work in a DevOps environment (Mandatory)

  • Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Advanced knowledge of architecture, design across all systems
  • Extensive experience in software development and programming using Java based technologies
  • Ability to learn and get accustomed with the inner workings of vendor products / applications in the portfolio applications a must
