STANDARD DUTIES:

  • Must attend all training provided by North Star Mohican Casino Resort.
  • Must adhere to all established rules, regulations, procedures, and policies of North Star Mohican Casino Resort and the Finance Department.
  • Must participate in employee random drug testing program.
  • Must be able to work with a variety of people with diverse personalities.
  • Must attend all meetings, as assigned.
  • Must wear the approved departmental approved dress code.
  • Must be reliable and prompt when reporting to work.
  • Must maintain compliance with all workplace policies, procedures, ordinances, laws and other communicated expectations, including and not limited to: Employment Handbook, Gaming Ordinance, State Gaming Compact, Minimum Internal Controls, Department Procedures, memos and other communications from supervisory or regulatory personnel.
  • All other assigned duties.

DUTIES:

  • Under the direction of the Finance Manager and Chief Financial Officer, the Lead Auditor/Reconciliation will aid casino management in the development, implementation and monitoring of electronic and manual systems and operation procedures designed to maximize asset protection, operational efficiency and casino profitability.
  • On a daily basis, the Lead Auditor/Reconciliation will have the authority over the revenue auditors including training, work schedules, annual performance reviews and conduct and correction action.
  • Coordinates timely preliminary responses to Gaming Commission audit reports for submission to General Manager and Directors.
  • Reviews month-end statistical reports for slots, blackjack and bingo and documents results of those reviews.
  • Creates statistical/analytical reports for non-gaming departments, reviews and documents results of those reviews.
  • Coordinates system file maintenance of slot and blackjack electronic systems.
  • Develops and implements Financial Department accounting/auditing procedures for gaming machines and table games in compliance with Tribal Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) for gaming; perform the procedures or monitor compliance with the procedures.
  • Works with casino departments to automate accounting operations.
  • Assists casino departments at month-end in taking physical inventory counts.
  • Assists casino departments in developing and implementing internal control procedures and standards.
  • Coordinates the collection and publication of new policies and procedures for all casino departments.
  • Coordinates testing of floor assets.
  • Assists departments in improving operational efficiency.
