Job Summary

We are seeking an IT Specialist II who is knowledgeable in general information technology and the Microsoft 365 environment. The IT Specialist will be in charge of setting up, managing, and troubleshooting our software networks and platforms. Additionally, the IT Specialist will monitor our Microsoft 365 environment to ensure reliability, usability, and performance. Duties include providing technical support, responding to and updating system software, tracking the date and communications used on our networks, performing audits to ensure product integrity, and ensuring standards are being met.

You will need to maintain and improve our technical systems to ensure that all team members have what they need to complete their work and the organization’s important files and information remain safe and intact.

IT Duties

• Review diagnoses and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems
• Setup, maintain, and support users within platforms including:
• Microsoft 365
• Atlassian (Jira and Confluence)
• Slack
• Zoho

• Manage the migration from GoDaddy to Microsoft 365
• Implement security measures across our various platforms and networks
• Monitor security certificates and company compliance requirements
• Offer technical support to company staff and troubleshoot computer problems
• Install and update company software as needed
• Organize information by studying, analyzing, interpreting, and classifying data
• Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
• Prepare and write operating instructions as needed
• Maintain historical records by documenting system changes and revisions
• Maintain client confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a field such as computer science or similar
• 5+ years experience in an IT role
• Proficient in several programming languages
• Experience writing code
• Expert level in Microsoft 365 environments
• Familiar with a range of software
• Problem-solving skills - IT specialists troubleshoot networks, computers, and devices, so excellent creative and technical problem-solvers

Preferred

• Experience with Shopify, WordPress, Slack, Webflow, GoDaddy, and Google Workplace administration
• Communication skills - effective written and verbal communication skills are vital in this role
