Range extension design:

• Collection and analysis of information, design constraints, characteristics and design parameters necessary to define the mold for each new tyre size (profile and tread pattern).
• Scaling and adjustment of all project parameters
• Parameter management through alignment tables
• opportune documentation creation

(first with team's support, gradually more independent)

Participate in Research activities

Main Activities:
Understanding problems related to the tread (fatigue, noise, dry / wet behavior) and modeling through mathematical models both commercial and dedicated:

• Finite element analysis related to tread behavior.
• Development of predictive models (semi-empirical) for the tread pattern in plan (2D) analysis. Implement these models in software applications (Matlab, Excel, VB,...) suitable for their agile use.
• Methods and procedures for improving/automate tread CAD modellig tecniques, i.e.:

o Management of the data exchange between the different 2D and 3D CAD software used in the company

o Geometries and modeling techniques standardization.

o Integration between CAD models and tread pattern verification software.

• New tread pattern lines development

Requirments:

• Master degree Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering (or similar)
• Ability to understood technical drawings
• Ability to understand the technical constraints associated with the product
• Very good knowledge in CAD parametric modeling (both 2D and 3D), in particular NX and Creo
• Background in finite elements techniques (preferably Abaqus)
• Familiarity with programming languages (Matlab, VB, Python)
• Good Knowledge of Office Suite (mainly Excel)
• Good English
• Creativity and design culture
• Ability to work in Team
• Good organizational skills
• Problem solving skills
• Open-minded
• Ready to work with strict deadlines
