YOUR LIFE AS AN INTERNSHIP PROGRAM COORDINATOR

This full-time social work training position with our human services team typically works Monday to Friday between 9 AM and 6 PM with occasional evening and weekend work.

As an Internship Program Coordinator, you're responsible for developing a five-week internship opportunity based on student's abilities and interests at a local business. Prior to the start of the internship, you develop and coordinate job sampling opportunities for each student. You coordinate schedules for all internships, students, and travel arrangements as well as provide travel instruction. To help students succeed, you provide on-site job coaching and conduct weekly internship progress assessments. You also liaison with internship supervisors and managers.

Additionally, you provide program manager support by developing resumes and assisting students in fulfilling curriculum requirements. You communicate with parents regarding each student's progress as well as school staff, employers, and others to create awareness and provide program progress updates. In a timely manner, you ensure all relevant documentation is complete and monthly update reports are submitted to the appropriate counselor. You enjoy using your passion for education to do important work for our nonprofit, which is why you thrive in this training position!

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Bachelor's degree
• 2+ years of experience in social services or education OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Home internet access
