GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (GZA) is currently seeking a Hydrogeologist Project Manager with 5 to 15 years of experience to support our environmental/hydrogeologic investigation and remediation, and groundwater exploration practices in Bedford, NH. A strong academic record, including quantitative hydrogeology and engineering skills, and a willingness to occasionally travel, are essential for this position.

As a Hydrogeologist Project Manager, you will work on a fast-paced team of Scientists, Engineers, Project Managers, and Principals. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct technical analyses/calculations, including hydrogeological analyses and numerical modeling
  • Perform technical execution of projects under the supervision of project managers and principals
  • Perform field investigation and remediation tasks
  • Prepare reports, recommendations, plans, proposals, and schedules with Principal guidance and review
  • Field and office QA/QC responsibilities
  • Internal and external client/contractor communications
  • Managing project teams, delegating to office and field staff and executing day to day activities of projects.
  • Monitoring project performance for compliance with contractual requirements and budgets.
  • Participating in staff training and staff reviews.
  • Managing project contractual and financial issues (including terms of agreement, changes in scope, invoicing, and accounts receivable).
  • Managing and mentoring of staff-level and project-level engineers.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in Hydrogeology, Groundwater Engineering, or similar technical discipline required.
  • 5-15 years of related environmental project management experience
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical capabilities
  • Ability to follow directions, and work independently or in a team setting
  • Ability to train others.
  • Experience with financial and schedule project management.
  • Strong communication skills, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of common numerical modeling software such as, GMS, Visual Modflow, GW Vistas, EVS, etc.
  • Database, CAD or ArcGIS a plus
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER and professional registration/licensure a plus
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday and occasional evenings and weekends as necessary to meet project demands
  • Have a valid driver’s license and ability to travel
