Position: HR Generalist
Location: Clearfield, UT
Industry: Manufacturing - Aluminum
Duration: Temporary
Pay rate: $30 - $40/hr DOE

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • The maintenance of accruals of vacations, sick leave, and attendance.
  • Investigating and resolving any issues, questions, or discrepancies of paychecks in a timely, accurate and confidential manner.
  • Supporting internal and external payroll audit inquiries and requests.
  • Maintaining, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employees' hourly rates, salaries, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other pertinent payroll data.
  • Provides support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Interface with 3rd party vendor (Ceridian) to research, move forward, and resolve payroll and tax-related inquiries.

Ideal Skills& Requirements:

  • Experience with in-house payroll using HR/Payroll platforms, UKG and Oracle experience a plus
  • An HR partnership role ideally within a manufacturing or distribution center or busy work environment with proven track record of success
  • Demonstrated skills and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications, including Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Word
  • A fondness for culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion and the ability to work with them no matter their title
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both verbal and written form
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • The ability to influence those at multiple levels with both written and verbal communication skills
  • PC skills - MS office; Access, Power Point and Excel
