Golf Maintenance Technician I

SUMMARY:
The Golf Course Technician will provide outstanding golf course conditions on a daily basis. Responsible for maintaining all areas of the golf course and maintenance facility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Major areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

Operating hand-held types of equipment, such as weed-eaters, self-propelled walk mowers, backpack blowers, push blowers, fly-mowers, core pushers, edger’s, rakes, and shovels

Operate Utility Carts
-
Operate Debris Blowers
-
Maintain sprinkler heads and valve boxes
-
Maintain bunkers and operate sand pro
-
Walk mow greens
-
Daily cleanup of equipment and facility
-
Top-Dress Greens
-
Fill Divots
-
All other duties as required by supervisor and manager
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Strong interpersonal skills; team oriented.

Ability to comprehend instructions given in English or Spanish
-
General knowledge of golf game and the course preferred.

Experience working in golf course maintenance
-
Ability to work 7 days a week, weekends, and holidays.

Perform job responsibilities and operate equipment according to the company safety and training programs
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Most tasks are performed outdoors in variable weather conditions, including hot, cold, windy, and wet weather. Temperature can be extreme but is usually moderate. Frequently works near moving/mechanical parts. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to reach with arms and hands; bend and stoop; remain at post standing for extended periods of time; required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
