RIPA & ASSOCIATES is rapidly expanding, and we are looking for several Skilled Laborers effective immediately. This position is responsible for many tasks that require great physical strength. The Skilled Laborer's responsibilities include ensuring worksites are clean and safe, spreading gravel, using drills, jackhammers, and other power tools, and helping with heavy machinery. Skilled Laborers perform a wide variety of tasks, ranging from very easy to potentially hazardous. At other times they may work alone; this will require them to read and interpret instructions, plans and specifications with little or no supervision.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Moving materials to the worksite and ensuring all tools, machinery, and other equipment are safely set up.

· Operating equipment like drills, pneumatic hammers, shovels, and pikes.

· Following health and safety codes, as well as the company's principles.

· Requesting training when assigned a task to which you have no experience.

· Working as a team and keeping other team member accountable for safety and voicing any concerns of exposure to hazards.

· Removing hazardous materials from sites.

· Spreading gravel, asphalt, and other materials over surfaces.

· Performing site and equipment inspections.

· Attending weekly safety topic meetings

· Completing on-the-job training.

· Ensuring tasks are completed to deadlines.

· Arrive at job site and all office meetings on time.

· Perform all job tasks with integrity, along with treating clients and co-workers with respect.

· Salvage reusable materials and dispose of waste by releasing it into designated waste containers.
