JOB STATUS: Full-Time 40 hours, Exempt

LOCATION: Jackson

As our Family Services department is growing, we are looking to add additional staff to our team!

RESPONSIBILITIES: Fully participate as a team member in a comprehensive approach to meet the Agency’s mission and vision. Work towards the continuous improvement of the agency through the ROMA Cycle, including assessment, planning, implementation, achievement of results and evaluation. Meet programmatic goals and assist clients, the Agency and the community in achieving desired outcomes as part of the six national ROMA goals and pertinent National Performance Indicators (NPI). Work to meet and fulfill the Agency’s strategic plan.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:
  • Responsible for the coordination of emergency housing programs and special project programs.
  • Coordinate Emergency Housing programs and Special Project programs financial/programmatic
budgets and compliance in coordination with the Family Services Director.
  • Responsible for supervision of assigned staff and volunteers (if applicable).
  • Provide direct services as requested to a limited case load of households.
  • Establish effective community linkages and facilitate Agency involvement within collaborative
efforts in the community as requested and approved by Family Services Director.
  • Assure all necessary documentation & reports are completed accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Agency Committee
  • Fully participates in the assessment, planning, implementation, achievement of results, and
evaluation activities of the program/area of work.
  • Support and model UCAP’s Behavioral Competencies.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Four years post-secondary in a Human Services/Social Services, Business Administration or
related education, plus 2-3 years business-related experience or a combination of 6-7 years
education and experience.
  • Two or more years working with state and federal housing programs preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS:
  • Demonstrated effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Computer competency, including keyboard skills, working with spreadsheet (Excel) and word
processing programs (Word).
  • Demonstrated skill in attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to attend any necessary training or conferences.
  • Ability to travel in the nine county service areas and outside of the service area, including some
overnights.
  • Regular, reliable attendance.
  • Reliable mode of transportation necessary.
  • Must have a satisfactory background check.
