The Facilities Coordinator will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal operating results. This position will manage and perform facility repairs, perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections, and coordinate with outside vendors for annual inspections and repairs on large equipment (i.e bus wash, generator, a/c system). This position will supervise one facility maintenance technician.
Responsibilities:
  • Facility Coordinator major responsibilities:
    • Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
    • Make repairs to and maintain building equipment and components
    • Plan and coordinate all installations (i.e. telecommunications, heat, electricity)
    • Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
    • Supervise facility technician and any external contractors
    • Keep records of work performed and relevant financial records
    • Perform analysis and forecasting
    • Perform hands-on work
Qualifications:
Facility Coordinator job requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience inspecting, repairing, and maintaining facilities and equipment
  • Proven experience as facilities supervisor or manager
  • Ability to perform hands-on work
  • Well-versed in technical operations and facilities management best practices
  • Knowledge of basic financial principles
  • Experience coordinating outside vendors to perform major repairs and annual inspections
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Good analytical/critical thinking
  • Degree in facility management, engineering, business administration or relevant field is preferred
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g. CFM) will be an advantage
