JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Concierge

Accountability: Building/Facilities Manager

Position: Full-time (40 hours/wk) Non-exempt Schedule: To be determined

Job Summary: The Concierge will assist the Building Manager and Chief/Lead Concierge in a variety of functions from office operations, concierge and security in the delivery of the highest standards of cleanliness and functionality of the physical plant. The position also maintains a high level of visibility, exhibit exemplary interpersonal skills in the interaction with residents, vendors and guests in the performance of their duties. Dress shall be business attire. Jeans, khakis, tank tops or t-shirts are not permitted. The concierge assists management in various other duties as assigned.

This person is literally “The Face of the Organization.” Given the Concierge’s significant customer interaction, this person must have a passion for amazing customer service. Displaying a great attitude every day is also a must. The Concierge contributes by knowing everyone in the building and each person’s job function, communicating regularly with both internal and external customers and providing visitors and callers a “Wow” experience. The Concierge will direct guests and vendors to the person that can provide the best service for their request either in person or on the phone. The Concierge actively demonstrates our commitment to WOW our customers and each other and provides thorough, accurate and timely disposition of requests, ensuring exceptional customer service. In addition, the Concierge responds to queries by phone, email and written correspondence. The Concierge also provides administrative support to the Lead Concierge and Facilities Manager as requested.

Essential Functions: Work concierge station providing excellent customer service and resident relations, representing the condominium in the most professional manner at all times. Conduct Security Patrol on a regular basis, write security reports, and maintain security/shift logs. Communicate and provide oral and written reports to the Building Manager and Lead Concierge. Take action in building emergency, security and safety situations in accordance with building procedure. Provide customer service and assist residents and guests with move-ins/move-outs, guest suite check-ins and check-outs, inspections, of related areas.
Must be familiar with the building layout, safety procedures, safety equipment. Maintain knowledge of where things are located (where to find the information) services available, i.e. package pick up, keys lost and found, and residential community activities. Maintain familiarity with area attractions, sporting events, taxi, shuttle and limousine services, festivals, restaurants, museums etc. Manage and schedule community calendar events. Public relations and effective communication of details and facts with clients.
Ability to learn and use various software programs in preparing reports and other assigned projects (Word & Excel). Ability to identify the needs of a client and respond to these needs quickly. Ability to monitor and track documents. Light accounting work, organization, office cleaning, and miscellaneous filing. Must be customer service oriented with the ability to enforce building rules and maintain security during shift hours.

Education and/or Experience & Characteristics Description:

· Great attitude

· High School Diploma required

· College education a plus

· 3-5 years of customer service experience.

· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

· Knowledge of administrative functions and best practices.

· Strong information management, organization, planning and detail orientation.

· Demonstrated initiative, reliability; ability to multi-task and manage stress.

· Professional personal presentation; proper manners, etiquette.

· Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.

· Experience in applicable customer service role required; prior concierge and security experience a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
