Come work at Mount Horeb Area School District! We are currently seeking to hire a highly dedicated Evening Custodian. What Your Day Will Look Like:

The majority of your day will consist of keeping buildings clean and in an orderly condition. Some tasks may include, general cleaning and disinfecting, sweeping, washing floors, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, shampooing rugs, washing walls/glass, and removing garbage and recycling. Other duties may include performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from the sidewalks during the winter season. Among building maintenance procedures you will also perform other building security and safety tasks such as locking building doors after hours and checking HVAC/ electrical appliances to ensure no hazards are created.

• Record of compliance with safety procedures at all times
• Must be able to operate cleaning equipment
• Basic reading and writing abilities.
• Ability to allocate and prioritize time.
• Capability to lift and maneuver objects weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to properly handle cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors under temperature variations.
• Aptitude to follow safety standards as set forth by the district.
• Ability to make routine decisions regarding daily schedule.
• The position will involve standing and walking for up to 8 hours; bending, stooping, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching. A post-offer job specific physical screen is required.
• Demonstrates and supports a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.

What We Offer:

To compensate you for the wonderful work you will be performing and support you will be providing, you will receive $15.52 per hour beginning on your first day, including during the training period. Additionally, you are eligible to receive benefits including life insurance, health insurance, vision and dental, disability insurance, paid time off, and paid holidays.
