Vestas Development is the newly-established business unit within Vestas that propels new growth while supporting the existing business in all development aspects, and you will contribute to Renewable Energy solutions (Windpower, Hydrogen).

Vestas Development leverages on Vestas wind expertise, along with financial proficiency and global reach, to develop high-quality projects either greenfield or at late stage.

Responsibilities

• As a Trainee, you will work with the Vestas Development EMEA&LATAM Team and will be performing analysis, support Development team and be responsible for minor projects.
• Support preparation and review of Engineering reports, EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) studies, feasibility studies, environmental Due Diligence for onshore and offshore wind farm development projects, contracts
• Engage with subcontracts in the preparation and complete implementation of project environmental assessment instruments/documentation.
• Create and maintain a GIS data base with cartography and the project elements, both technical and environmental, that characterize the several initiatives.
• Participate with Managers to public consultation with stakeholders and meetings with Authorities, TSOs and Regulators when needed during the permitting phase.
• Perform site visits at project sites for the preliminary identification of potential technical/environmental criticalities to be supervised during the development phase.
• Support projects schedule preparation and budget estimation.
• Monitoring of the legislation evolution with potential impacts on RES development.

Qualifications

• A degree (or equivalent) in Energy, Mechanical, Environmental Science or Engineering.
• Having attended master/courses, thesis or internship programmes on renewable energies (including green hydrogen)/environmental topics is valuable too.
• Great communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, clients, suppliers, etc.
• Proficiency in English (knowledge of other languages would be great ).
• Good knowledge of geographic information systems (e.g. ArcGIS, QGIS). Knowledge of WindPro software if possible, and knowledge of the Italian EIA Regulations
