The Retail Operations Director has the responsibility to support day-to-day operations and efficiencies across the stores in the EMEA market. It is the main organizational contact for all the market daily activities, in line with our company procedures and our business needs.

With a team of local Retail Operations under his/her responsibility, the Retail Operation Director will directly coordinates all the Retail projects and will work closely with Digital in store team to implement new tools.

Analysis and reporting

• Weekly/monthly/seasonal reporting on key KPI’s, performance and productivity. (a.i. Sell through, delivery, seasonal vs non-seasonal, shortage, special orders, shop-to-shop transfer).
• Analysis and monitor of export sales.
• Monitoring sell through of transfers and consignments.

Inventory

• Supports the Country Managers and the Inventory Planning interfacing with stores for all stock movements procedures, leading and monitoring the implementation of the back of house guidelines.
• Works on inventory schedule, supporting the inventory preparation in store and monitoring the results.
• Support the reduction of stock loss by acting as the first point of contact regarding all stock management/replenishment and related processes.
• Manage delivery control – hold/push deliveries when needed.
• Manage stock levels by product group by store.
• Reviews consignments and reservations on a weekly basis.
• Manages the EOS (End of Season) returns, supporting the stores in optimizing the delivery activities.
• Identify key improvements and operational efficiencies in protecting product assets against theft and damage and providing transparent reporting to the Retail Manager on the monthly findings.
• Give guidance on the most efficient and commercial way to organise stock, giving consideration to improving fetch times, logical stock room flows, correct storage of stock.

Operations

• Manages the operational tasks related to opening, relocation and renovation processes ensuring timely follow up on action items for opening successfully on time and within budget.
• Responsible for the implementation of new processes in line with headquarters guidelines.
• Coordinates with all the relevant departments (Buyer/Supply Chain/IT) in order to involve in operations project.
• Responsible for the implementation of actions to increase productivity.
• Reviewing facilities contracts and improving services from our vendors.
• Ensures traffic control measures are in place and up to date.
• Responsible for the implementation of all the administrative post sales activities and quality check, following the company guidelines.
• Responsible for supporting the preparation of the CITES documentation and for the whole approval cycle.
• Responsible for Export Sale documentation and processing in all outlets.

Retail Support

• Coordinating the local Retail Ops to support the Store Managers to up skill the Stock Controllers and cashiers.
• Working closely with the Store Managers to drive best practices concerning optimization of stockrooms and operational excellence.
