The Alicart Restaurant Group, which for over 32 years now, is the name behind the award winning, popular brands Carmines NYC Family Style Italian Restaurant and Virgils Real BBQ is in search for Digital Director Of Marketing with a focus on directing digital marketing strategies of all our restaurants. The responsibilities will include leading the marketing efforts for the Carmines and Virgils brands nationwide. Working closely with the CEO in driving the companies digital marketing initiatives to increase the revenue sales. The ideal candidate will continue to enhance our brand awareness and manage our outsourcing 3rd party agencies. Carmines Legendary Family Style Italian restaurant first opened in 1990 and offers an exceptional product to its guests through the many dishes of Southern Italian cuisine. The menu features wow-factor sized portions making any meal feel like an Italian American wedding feast. Our six locations span from NYC, Vegas, DC, AC to the Bahamas. Carmines believes in authenticity, high quality and above all consistency across all our Restaurants.


Virgils Real Barbecue first opened in 1994 has been acclaimed as one of Americas best BBQ restaurants by leading food critics and has continually been featured on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox TV. The menu was developed after extensive research in the back roads of the south and highlights the best of the best of BBQ from Memphis, Carolina, Kansas City, and Texas. Virgils Real BBQ is located in NYC and Vegas.


Your Role with Us:

  • Oversee all aspects of the strategic brand marketing, digital, social media, content creation, brand identity and public relations for individual restaurants from our Manhattan office, which is easily accessible from all major subways and buses.
  • Lead digital marketing strategy, engagement, and growth of all digital platforms, email marketing, loyalty, reviews, CRM, and social media, including but not limited to Google, Yelp, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, as well as new/emerging platforms to grow digital traffic and sales.
  • Work cross functionally with internal teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure marketing initiatives support business needs. Analyze company goals and research target audiences to come up with detailed marketing plans and schedules for campaigns (in-house/digital); Delegate tasks for these campaigns to the Restaurant Operations team at each location and overseeing the campaigns performance while ensuring it stays on track with the schedule lay out.
  • Lead community engagement and involvement efforts for individual restaurants.
  • Manage Public Relations, facilitate media events and partnerships, house all press materials and quarterback press related inquiries.
  • Manage marketing budgets for increased revenue and to control expenses effectively.
  • Research potential vendors and negotiate contract terms.
  • Serve as brand advocate both internally and externally, leverage service industry network and trends for testing new ideas.
  • Create monthly, quarterly, and annual marketing campaign launch plans for all restaurants and maintaining the yearly calendar of events.


We Are Looking for Candidates:


  • 5-10 years of experience in Marketing preferably in Restaurant Hospitality.
  • BA or BS degree in Marketing, Communications highly desired.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience with Adobe Platforms- Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, etc.
  • Experience with Social Media Analytics: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter.
  • Experience with E-mail marketing platforms.
  • Must be a great writer and communicator.
  • Experience with marketing plans for tourist destinations and/or large cities and have leveraged seasonal holidays to drive new and repeat business.
  • Online (Facebook, Paid Search, SEO) and offline (print, out of home) marketing and media planning and execution.
  • Have generated Public Relations for an established brand.
  • 3rd party agency management experience.
  • Have had success cross-selling brands.
  • Proven success in generating earned media.
