WE ARE LOOKING FOR A SPECIAL KIND OF NUTRITION ASSISTANT/DIET TECH FOR OUR PATIENTS IN RESIDENTIAL EATING DISORDER TREATMENT.

THIS POSITION REQUIRES FULL COVID-19 VACCINATION. THIS IS A FULLY-ONSITE POSITION

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science in Foods & Nutrition, Dietetics or related major, either completed or in progress
  • Two years experience in human nutrition
  • Current or in progress ServSafe certification
  • Possesses working knowledge of human nutrition, Intuitive Eating, and diabetic exchange system
  • Knowledge of evidence based treatments

ROLE OF NUTRITION ASSISTANT

  • Prepare and plate meals according to patient’s meal plan
  • Lead and direct supported meals, including plating, monitoring meal completion, redirecting behaviors and inappropriate topics of conversation
  • Participate in care coordination, including multidisciplinary treatment team meetings
  • Maintain clean kitchen environment
  • Maintain appropriate and timely contact with members of the treatment team including Nutrition Program Manager, Clinical Dietitians, and Clinical Therapists.
  • Maintain detailed and timely documentation of meal records
  • Provide milieu support to help patients abstain from eating disorder behaviors.
  • Help patients move toward a healthier relationship with food and a more intuitive and mindful way of eating

Physical Limitations:

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to climb and descend stairs
  • Must be able to lift up 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Computer & Equipment Skills:

  • Has good general knowledge of computer operations; uses a keyboard and calculator proficiently and with a high degree of accuracy
  • Uses Microsoft Office Word and Excel as well as Internet and email programs proficiently, including Google platform applications such as google docs, sheets, forms, slides, etc
  • Uses typical office equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
