Job Description:

FIS is looking for a Development Director that will work on large complex projects as the primary technical point of contact to coordinate deliverables and manage releases that meet the objectives of the business sponsors. This a technical role that can work across disciplines to understand dependencies, translate requirements to technical deliverables, and coordinate activity from development through to production release phases meeting FIS standards such as quality, security, and performance.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

• Primary point of contact for the project manager for coordinating development and component delivery activities
• Coordinate release promotion from development through production
• Works closely with solution architects, business analysts, QA, DBAs and development teams to map the business objectives of the release to the associated technical delivery items
• Works closely with DevOps for environment setup, infrastructure requests, builds etc.
• Works closely with the QA team lead for internal build deliveries
• Works closely with the implementation team to triage and disposition defects raised by the QA/BA team
• Works closely with the implementation team to track progress of development activity and raise/escalate any dependencies
• Coordinate code management and version control decisions as it relates to release prioritization
• Coordinate gathering technical documentation from and for 3rd parties
• Work with the product management on sprint planning
• Work with the product managers on estimates that need to consider technical dependencies and resource allocations

Education Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

Desired Qualifications:

• Proficient with C#, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, IIS, ASP.NET, WebAPI
• Knowledge of security development practice
• Strong people management skills, proven success in recruiting, creating, and motivating strong performing engineering teams
• Strong project management, organization, communications, analytical skills
• Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile
• 10+ years’ experience providing leadership and management to software engineers
• Knowledge of FIS Supervision Compliance Management products and services
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong technical knowledge to drive the product technical roadmap
