CGI is hiring a Data Engineer to join our dynamic team.

In this role, your central responsibility as a data architect will be to develop, optimize and oversee the client's conceptual and logical data systems.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Looking for a data architect who can examine new data system requirements and implement migration models.
  • Has at least 8+ years of experience being a Data Engineer.
  • Has at least 4+ years of experience with Machine Language.
  • Hands-on experience with managing and monitoring data collection and analytics pipelines at the application level
  • Experience in building large scale data processing and distributed systems using technologies like Spark/Kafka
  • Responsible for designing and building data applications to enable on-device and device/server-side combined ML workflows
  • Experience with SQL / NoSQL databases
  • Experience with Object oriented programming languages like Java / Python
  • Experience with Kubernetes or similar technologies
  • Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve company data.
  • Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating client operations, applications, and programming.
  • Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems.
  • Educate staff members through training and individual support.
  • Offer support by responding to system problems in a timely manner.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or relevant field.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge data mining and Machine Learning.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Outstanding problem solver.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,000 - $198,400.
