This position is remote with the ability to work in the office and then as required for special meetings and/or functions.

Administers Government Contracts, including supporting subcontracts, from execution to closure. Responsible for reviewing, interpreting, and negotiating contract terms and provisions as an authorized agent of the Company. Must have experience working with Government Contracts and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Must have had signing authority in previous positions. Reports to the Director of Contracts & Procurement. Position requires 4 – 7 years of contracts and/or subcontracts management experience and a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, English or other related discipline.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Under Supervision,

  • Negotiates and administers standard terms and conditions, agreements between the company/customers/subcontractors/vendors ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures, government specifications and requirements.
  • Responsible for reviewing contract solicitation terms, handling contract award confirmations, interpreting agreement terms and conditions and identifying potential issues, reviewing agreement amendments / modifications, and incorporating changes
  • Identifies risks and areas of concern on contract terms and conditions and provides contractual advice, guidance and support to the contract lead / program and operations managers
  • Responds to inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions
  • Assists with proposal preparation for customer requirements
  • Prepares, issues, and negotiates contractual documents
  • Resolves subcontractor issues (performance, claims, etc.)
  • Ensures contract and subcontract files are documented and in compliance with company policies and procedures and government regulations

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree, will substitute education experience (5 – 10 years).
  • 4-7 years of experience.
  • Must have had signing authority in previous positions.
  • Must have experience with Government contracts and procurement administration and management.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Writing samples will be requested during the interview.
  • Must have experience using SharePoint or other intranet and/or online collaborative environments.
  • Must be willing to video teleconference when required.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers at all levels ensuring customer mission requirements and project milestones are met.
  • Must have excellent organization, administration, and coordination skills.
  • Must be process-oriented and have experience managing contracts and subcontracts in accordance with internal processes, controls and policies.
  • Experience with responding to audits (DCAA, DCMA, ISO, CMMI) a plus.
  • Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (EPR) or Contracts Management (CM) software a plus.
  • Knowledge of Representations and Certifications and working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS).
  • Experience with the entire life-cycle management of a government contracts a plus.
  • Strong understanding of contract/Purchase Order terms and conditions and detailed knowledge of the government contracting process.
  • Working knowledge of the terms and conditions appropriate for different contract types (FFP, CPFF, CPIF, T&M, IDIQ, etc.) and their proper use.
  • Working knowledge of government contract administration duties including subcontract flow downs, change management, inspection, acceptance, payment, warranty, close-out and records retention.
  • Intermediate to advanced mastery of MS Office and Adobe Acrobat DC products.
  • Must be self-driven, with a hunger to excel.
