Job description

What will you do?
You will be asked to add value to each part you touch, ensuring that our clients (and their customers) receive the highest quality parts that make their final product perform flawlessly. This will include:

1. Operate one or more Swiss CNC machines to perform a series of machining operations such as turning, drilling, boring, threading & milling to specifications
2. Prep and load specified bar stock into feeding mechanism
3. Monitor machine operation & verify conformance of work piece to specifications using measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, CCM, OASIS & functional gauges)
4. Make basic machine & tool adjustments as needed to maintain part conformance
5. Consistently check parts for quality control; ensure non-conforming parts are controlled per protocols
6. Adjust part dimensions by using offsets, change inserts, properly center & touch off tools
7. Ensure the router, scheduling board, blueprint, inspection instructions, & gauging box are complete for each job run &
all inspection requirements are followed; ensure all tooling is accounted for
8. Perform basic trouble-shooting of machine & bar feeder alarms
9. Demonstrate working knowledge of ISO work instructions
10. Consistently clean & maintain machines & related equipment to ensure optimal condition
11. Examine processes & identify opportunities for continuous improvement
