Position Title: CLINICAL DIRECTOR

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Clinical Director reports to the Medical Director

The Clinical Director is responsible for the overall therapeutic care of each resident regarding the prevention, intervention, diagnosis and treatment of substance abuse.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Psychology or related field

• Shall be licensed, certified, or registered to obtain certification pursuant to the California Code of Regulations, Chapter 8, Section 13035 (f).

• Minimum 5 years of experience in private practice or related field

• Minimum 2 years of experience in drug and alcohol counseling

• Must provide and maintain a current record of TB testing

• Must provide and maintain a current record of CPR and First Aid training and testing

Competencies:

• Proficient in computer based EMR

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for documentation

• Knowledge of EBPs

• Proficient in group presentation

• Proficient in ASAM dimensions of care

• Proficient in diagnosing and treating SUD and co-occurring disorders

• Proficient in program development and delivery

• Proficient in staff development

• Proficient in SI and crisis assessment and intervention

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate resident intake process and the scheduling of diagnostic sessions and evaluations with the clinical staff inside and outside the facility. Ensures resident files are secure; ensures security of all file information and that materials are properly filed

• The Clinical Director is responsible for providing direct therapeutic services in the form of diagnostic assessments and treatment for all residents.

• The Clinical Director will provide one-on-one therapy for residents at least 2 times per week

• The Clinical Director is responsible for approving the schedule and outline of process groups for residents.

• The Clinical Director will conduct CBT Process Groups and family lecture/family group

• The Clinical Director is responsible for maintaining resident records in accordance with established policies and procedures

• The Clinical Director will serve as part of treatment team working closely with the Program Director and Counseling Staff

• The Clinical Director will assist in providing therapeutic training for counseling staff

The Clinical Director will perform other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Acton, CA 93510: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
