Roles and Responsibilities:

Job Summary/Overview:


Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing and/or system operations, such as working with engineers and manufacturing in set-up and calibration tasks, system support, preventative maintenance, failure analysis, breakdown maintenance and troubleshooting, documenting/following standard operating procedures, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the process and production of memory chips and logic. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct in-line adjustments to products, instruments, equipment, or processes. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Requires compliance with all health, safety and environmental management system guidelines.

Equipment maintained will copper electroplating equipment (Lam Sabre) within the Cleans department.

Specific Job Duties:

  • Routine Preventative or Corrective Maintenance: Inspects, disassembles and reassembles equipment parts for cleaning, quality control, and/or to identify damaged areas.
  • Monitors tool interlock disposition using Fab systems and follows detailed SOPs to determine if reading is accurate or if escalation is needed.
  • Must be proficient with Samsung fab systems.
  • Basic understanding of hand tools, pneumatics, and electricity.
  • Responsible for ordering replacement or new parts as necessary.


Shift: C-Shift / 6:45 a.m.-7:15 p.m. Thurs-Sat (every other Wed)


Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required

  • 5+ years of equipment maintenance in semiconductor, high volume manufacturing, avionics, aviation, or CNC preferred.
  • Associate degree or higher preferred but not a disqualifier.
  • Military/university technical training/certifications

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, and Tools

  • Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.
  • Utilizes detailed instructions on PM Card/CPM table/SOPs to perform activities.
  • Monitors trends by observing change points and following escalation plans if any deviation to process/equipment occurs, Technician performs failure analysis and either follows detailed scripts to perform troubleshooting or escalates issue if necessary.
  • Utilizes the key takeaways learned from day-to-day activities to make recommendations to Sr. Staff regarding potential improvements via Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Electro-mechanical aptitude (department specific) with ability to troubleshoot issues.
  • Effectively communicates written/verbal within the organization.
  • Multitask and adapt quickly to change.
  • Work off-hours as necessary.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
