JOB SUMMARY

The Colorado Movement gyms are looking for patient, attentive, and experienced childcare professionals that will provide an engaging and supportive environment while parent(s) are climbing, working out, or participating in yoga. Childcare is a critical component to the front-line customer experience at these gyms. Applicants should be thoughtful and caring with an eye for detail.

Childcare staff’s primary responsibility is to care for children ranging in age, in an engaging and appropriate manner. Every childcare staff member will partner with other staff members and the Gym Leadership to create and maintain an excellent program that serves families in our gym communities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide care for children ages 6 months to 6 years old, in line with Movement core values:
• Maintain an age-appropriate, engaging and supportive environment for children
• Organize and monitor play activities
• Keep the childcare space orderly and clean
• Provide excellent customer service to parents of children in childcare
• Manage childcare check-in/check-out and related transactions
• Communicate effectively, including with parent(s), children, supervisor, and Gym Leadership team

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Candidates must be 18 years of age, or older, and pass a background check
• Minimum of 6 months to 1 year experience working with children ages 6 months to 6 years
• Ability to maintain age-appropriate and supportive environment for children
• Desire to work with children of varying ages
• Ability to communicate effectively (with parents, supervisor, Gym leadership)
• Ability to plan daily activities and curricula

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Expected work between 6 and 10 hours per week with a minimum of 2 shifts per week
• Must have availability during Childcare peak hours (weekday afternoon/evenings & weekend mornings)
• Hourly, part-time position, starting at $18.00/hour
