Carpenter
South Coast Improvement Company is a dynamic, success driven commercial construction management firm and we are seeking a carpenter to join our diverse, talented team. This carpenter position will be a member of our Quad Coatings team. Quad Coatings is a division of South Coast Improvement Company and handles our self perform carpentry and paint projects. The carpenter will manage the Quad work force and will work directly with South Coast superintendents and project managers.
This is a strategic hire being our first dedicated carpenter specializing in metal framing assemblies. Our goal is to further develop and expand our services performed.
Carpenter Responsibilities

• Perform all framing layouts
• Oversight and execute all orders for all framing materials including sheetrock and finishing systems
• Efficiently perform the task necessary to frame wall and ceiling assemblies including: all interior and exterior openings, all blocking, all strapping, hi-hat channel on block, insulate, seal / caulk top and bottom plates.
• Efficiently perform the tasks necessary to hang sheetrock and finish the wall to prime including: all patching means and methods, tape finish to level 5, and sanding. All work and durations must match industry norms.
• Efficiently perform the tasks necessary to hang doors, frames, and hardware.
• Efficiently perform the tasks necessary to hang standard box cabinetry.
• Efficiently perform the tasks necessary to hang running trim.
• Efficiency when using lasers and other field equipment
• Provide leadership to drywall crew to self-perform small projects at commercial construction sites throughout New England.
• Overnight travel will be required

Carpenters Qualifications:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• Word and Excel knowledge
• Ability to organize a work schedule
• Excellent communication skills
• Vehicle required
• Hand tools required
• Ability to read construction drawings and blueprints a plus
• Have your OSHA 30 or enroll shortly after employment.
• Willing to travel

Carpenter Compensation

• Hourly: $40.00
• Car allowance: $500.00
• Company Laptop and Cell Phone
• Paid Time Off

Hours M-F 7am- 5pm – however there are times weekend and night work are required. This less than 20% of the time but this is a condition of employment.
